ABOUT

Karlotta Bott is a textile designer and handweaver with a background in fashion design and fabric research and development. Her practice bridges fashion and textile craftsmanship, working directly on the loom to create fabrics that evolve through making. With a strong focus on handweaving and material research, she approaches textiles as a form of “handwriting”—a tactile language shaped by fibre, tension, and technique, woven into shape of garments and accessories. Her studio's work is driven by a thinking-through-making process, reinterpreting traditional weaving methods while exploring new possibilities in structure, texture, and form. She founded Studio Bott to collaborate within the fashion industry for her deep passion for the craft and textile research to keep the traditional „savoir-faire“ alive.
